In 2021, the OCH Board of Directors adopted a 2022-2026 strategic plan that outlined four key focus areas. These focus areas guide how OCH allocates time, funding, and other resources.
In 2022, four action collaboratives came together to create action plans that bring the four focus areas to life with clear regional actions, measures of success, and populations of emphasis.
This tool provides a summary of all action plan indicators* including key takeaways and why the measure is important to regional health and well-being.
*OCH will coordinate with regional partners to implement focus groups and surveys with community members to identify progress and barriers for the focus area “Individual needs are met timely, easily, and compassionately”. Metrics for this focus area are not included in the “connecting to data” tool.
The network of OCH partners are the backbone for the success in OCHs mission and vision, so OCH will monitor measures associated with the strength of the network.

OCH serves as an advocate for local needs, promoting local successes and opportunities to elected officials, and engaging the community to work together and foster a healthier, more equitable three-county region.
Here are some examples of OCH's advocacy work:
OCH has worked to create a culture of data sharing and transparency in order to better support the work of health-serving partners across the Olympic region. By providing access to data and analytics, OCH can help health-serving partners make informed decisions that improve the health of the community. Additionally, OCH provides regular reporting on the impact of their work and local health metrics. This enables partners to better understand the needs of the community, as well as to identify new opportunities for collaboration.
OCH has woven data into the following projects:

OCH can support regional partners by serving as a centralized funding hub. OCH can facilitate connections with partners to make maximum use of current funding, and can support or lead opportunities to secure new funding. Most of OCHs current funding comes through the Department of Health and the Health Care Authority, and OCH is dedicated to ensuring the majority of incoming dollars are allocated to regional partners.

OCH will share activities and projects that show promising results to be scaled and sustained throughout the region. Address issues that exist at the neighborhood or community level, such as inadequate housing, social isolation, disconnected and inefficient service efforts, violence, and limited economic opportunities.

The purpose of the Executive Committee is to discharge the responsibilities of the OCH Board of Directors relating to the transaction of routine, administrative matters that occur between regularly scheduled meetings of the Board and to tee up policy issues for full Board discussion and decision-making. The Executive Committee also advises will the Executive Director regarding emerging issues, problems, and initiatives.
The Finance Committee is responsible for recommending financial policies, goals, and budgets that support the mission, values, and strategic goals of the organization. The committee also reviews the organization’s financial performance against its goals and proposes major transactions and programs to the board. In addition to developing an annual budget, the committee will track progress toward long-term financial goals that will provide for the sustainability of the organization.
