Healthy people. Thriving communities. Strong regional partnerships.
Olympic Community of Health (OCH) tackles regional health issues no single sector or Tribe can tackle alone. OCH is collectively working to foster a region of healthy people and thriving communities.

Olympic Community of Health
Olympic Community of Health is one of Washington’s nine Accountable Communities of Health (ACHs) serving Clallam, Jefferson and Kitsap counties and seven Sovereign Tribal Nations of: Hoh, Jamestown S’Klallam, Lower Elwha Klallam, Makah, Port Gamble S’Klallam, Quileute, Suquamish. As a nonprofit, we convene regional partners to improve access to the full spectrum of care and address essential social needs, including housing, financial assistance and nutritious food.

What is an ACH?
In 2015, Washington State legislators authorized a network of nine Accountable Communities of Health (ACHs) to serve as neutral conveners between local communities and the health care delivery system under the Medicaid Transformation Project (MTP 1.0). OCH was created as the ACH for the Olympic region to carry out legislators' vision of improving the cost, quality, and experience of care for community members enrolled in Apple Health (Medicaid). By creating a more efficient system, we can reduce costs and improve health outcomes across.

OLYMPIC CONNECT
Connecting individuals to resources and care through Olympic Connect
OCH serves as the backbone organization for Olympic Connect, a Community Care Hub of Washington serving the Olympic and Kitsap region. Through Olympic Connect, community members with needs such as financial assistance, housing, transportation, health care, childcare, and more are connected to trusted helpers who live and work in Clallam, Jefferson, or Kitsap counties. Trusted helpers have lived experience and cultural knowledge of the region and work directly with community members to connect them to the resources and care they need to thrive.

By removing barriers and helping community members access social and health supports, Olympic Connect supports them to achieve their health and other life goals. Olympic Connect is available to anyone who lives or is seeking care in the Clallam, Jefferson, and Kitsap counties.
Through the Olympic Connect partner network, OCH is working with regional partners to identify resources and services to support Apple Health members and community members in legislative districts 23, 24, 26, and 35.
