STAY STRONG, OLYMPIC REGION

Kitsap | Jefferson | Clallam

Make your health a priority this fall!

Why is it particularly important to get a flu shot and well-child immunizations this season?

Immunizations, such as the flu shot and well-child shots protect you and the people around you. When you and your family get immunized, you help keep yourself and your community healthy.

Flu immunizations:

The flu immunization helps protect you and your loved ones from the flu. It can result in serious complications and hospital stays, especially for young children, older adults, pregnant women, and those with preexisting health conditions. Getting a flu shot is the best way to protect yourself and your family from the flu.

Well-child immunizations (aka school shots):

It is important to keep children up to date on their immunizations. In addition to protecting the child, it also protects friends, family, and the community from getting sick. There have been measles and other immunization-preventable disease outbreaks throughout the state in the past few years, and we don’t want to experience another, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
